The use of a braider comes from Japan and is 1000 years old. Braiding is known there as Kumihimo. Kumi means braids and himo means cord. Our braid star has 8 slots, and you can weave a string of up to 7 strands. Creates a strong seven-colored braid, and when using rainbow wool, it is even more colorful.

The stars are made of 5 mm thick felt and are available as a set of 10 on a wooden stand or a pack of 5. Our Filges 100% Bioland wool can also be used with the braid star.

We carefully pack each order from our Maine studio with thought and care. Please allow 3–5 business days for in-stock items to ship. Preorders and handmade goods may take longer—timelines will be noted on product pages.

We hope you love your order, but if something isn’t quite right, we're happy to help. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unused, unopened items. Because of their nature, custom and handmade items (including craft kits and sewn goods) are final sale.
